About Us
We are Kenny and Loni Martin and Martin’s Vintage Music Co. has been a lifelong journey for us.
I have been playing and performing music since 1969. From an early age, I began performing in auditoriums, night clubs and festivals with various bands playing country, bluegrass and rock and roll music. I was blessed to have played steel guitar for The Marshall Tucker Band from 2011 to 2017. With The Marshall Tucker Band, I was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of playing the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry many times.
Over the years I’ve always had a desire to open a music store that would specialize in vintage instruments and music equipment - rare guitars and other instruments that have been played all over the United States by some of the best unknown players around. I would always go to the locally owned music stores in every town I performed in and look for used vintage instruments. Each one would have its own personality and have a story behind it; the memories and scars that they carry are priceless. Now my dream of having a music store that carries used vintage instruments, equipment, vinyl records and CD’s is coming true.
My partner and my wife, Loni, was raised in a musical family. She plays and sings, and has for most of her life, performing on stage and in dance for many years. She is passing her love of music along to our children. She sat aside playing music for a while to raise children and start multiple businesses. Being successful in all aspects of business is a passion she has and now, as my partner, we will hopefully grow Martin’s Vintage Music Co. into a household name.
Our mission is to have instruments that musicians look for; instruments that have stories behind them and memories built into them; instruments that can continue to tell the stories of future musicians.
If you have a vintage piece you’d like to sell, we will buy it. Let us take away the hassle and worry of online sales that most folks really don’t want to deal with.
